Can Martha Hebert bake the ultimate cake? We won't know until she appears next week on TLC's Ultimate Cake Off. The owner of Sweet Southern Ladies in St. Martinville and her team face off against two other contestants in a challenge to create an edible
masterpiece in hopes of winning $10,000 and having their cake featured at a marquee event. With only nine hours, the competitors must make cakes that are at least five feet tall and creative enough to win the taste of the client and clinch the ultimate prize. Two UL Lafayette graduates will show off their cake-making abilities on national television Sept. 28. Martha Hebert and Rebecca Guidry, of Sweet Southern Ladies Designer Cakes near St. Martinville, will compete in the “Ultimate Cake-Off” on The Learning Channel. The prize: $10,000. Our New LSU Stadium Cake:
Recently, our most popular cake is our LSU Football Stadium cake. We always try to incorporate new and exciting materials into our cakes. The LSU Stadium cakes in addition to having working Stadium lights, now have an electronic scrollable score board which is programmable and in this case, continuously scroll "LSU: National Champions ...". If you are interested in ordering this cake please allow us a few months advanced notice.
